Mosaic Classes and Workshops 2023
Studio Workshops and Courses take place at:
​Unit 6, First Floor, Hartley Business Centre, Hucknall Road, Sherwood, Nottingham, NG5 1FD

Mug Face Workshops
​3 hour studio workshop with 40 minute Zoom grouting session.

Studio: Sat 1st July or Thurs 6th July, both 10-1pm and
Zoom session: Mon 10th July 7pm 
or Thurs 13th 10am both 40mins

Cost: £55
Rummage through an array of china to find just the right eyeball or lips! During this course you will learn the formula for building the elements of a mosaic face. A practical morning in the studio,  the aim is to finish your mug face to take home and grout during a group Zoom session.
Choose either the evening or morning Zoom session to suit you.
There will be plenty of house plants to use as hair! 
​Refreshments available during the morning.

Mosaic Mirror Workshop
Date: 15/7/23
​Day and Times: Saturday 10-4pm
Cost: £85

A relaxed day learning a skill while making something practical and beautiful for the home. This is an opportunity to be creative and decorative whether your style is geometric and symmetrical or organic and free flowing, there will be a range of pre cut tiles as well as patterned china to suit all tastes and interior schemes. There will be square, rectangular and circular mirrors on offer and a similar range of bases. 

Materials, drinks and snacks are provided. Please bring your lunch, there is a fridge and microwave in the studio, or visit Tesco Express nearby.

Exploring Mosaic Methods FULL
Course Code: C2348880     

Dates: 6/6/23 - 11/7/23
6 Sessions: Tuesday's 10am - 3pm
Cost: £129

Support: Those on certain benefits can attend for free.

It is vital to know which method to use to fulfil the purpose of the mosaic. In this course you will investigate several techniques to equip you with that knowledge. This might include a bathroom splash back on mesh, reverse method stepping stones, or an exterior mosaic designed to last the UK winters. Suitable for beginners and those with experience.
​Projects will be suitable for the home or garden.

Who are the WEA?

The Workers Education Association are a fantastic charity, established in 1903. 

Currently the largest voluntary sector provider of adult education in England and Scotland, they are dedicated to bringing high-quality, professional education into the heart of communities.  The aim is to deliver friendly, accessible and enjoyable courses for adults from all walks of life.

 Monday Mosaics Evening Classes 2023

Block 5: June 5th, 19th and July 3rd 2 spaces left
6.30-9.30pm
Cost - £90 for each block (3 evenings)

These sessions are suitable for absolute beginners who are looking to learn a new skill from scratch along with regular and returning students who enjoy the feedback, and camaraderie of the group. Many students have found that this is precious time and space carved out in the busy week to immerse oneself in ongoing projects or experiment with new techniques. Come with your own designs and ideas or be guided through a project.

​Price includes materials (unless extra large or unusual!) also drinks and snacks.

Catch Up Sessions

These sessions are open to students from any of my recent courses or workshops (12 months), to come and work in the studio on current projects. This is not a teaching session but I will be around for help and advice if needed.
